551 miles from landing zone in Utah, moving at a record velocity of 12.8 km/sec. (2nd place is Apollo 10 at 11.11 km/sec). The record is for the fastest man made object to enter the Earth’s atmosphere.
Jan 15 4:12 AM CST Touchdown will be in the Utah Test and Training Range at the Dugway Proving Ground W/SW of Salt Lake City. The footprint for the landing site is about 44 x 76 KM. Speed at landing will be a mere 4.5 m/s
